Ways to Volunteer

Join our ESL program and make a difference in our community. We have a variety of roles to fit your schedule and skills.
Teachers
Lead an ESL class, prepare engaging lessons, and directly help students improve their English speaking, reading, and writing skills.
Teaching Assistants
Support the lead teacher during class, provide one-on-one help to students, and assist with classroom activities.
Childcare Helpers
Watch and engage with the children of our adult ESL students, ensuring parents can focus entirely on learning.
Door Greeters
Provide a warm, welcoming first impression! Help students sign in, find their classrooms, and feel at home.
Substitutes
Step in to teach or assist when regular volunteers are unavailable. Perfect for those with flexible schedules.
Conversation Cafe Partners
Chat with students in a relaxed, informal setting to help them practice conversational English and build confidence.

Help GROW Grow
GROW is seeking new members for our Board of Directors who bring experience in human resources, legal matters, fundraising, or organizational leadership—and, most importantly, a heart for GROW’s mission of welcoming and serving immigrant and refugee communities through English education and showing them the love of Jesus Christ.
Board service is a meaningful opportunity to use your professional experience to help strengthen and shape GROW for the future. If you’re passionate about our mission and have expertise in one of these areas or another area that could serve GROW well, we’d love to hear from you!
