GROW Job Description: ESL Teacher

The ESL Instructor at GROW is a volunteer position that asks for the following commitments:

1) To help immigrants thrive in English

2) To prepare and carry out lesson plans for each class taught

3) To find a substitute when necessary and communicate that with the program

director

4) To work towards one outside of class activity for students each semester

5) To maintain accurate records of class attendance and student progress

6) To attend scheduled staff meetings (very few)

7) To lead and involve teaching assistants in the classroom

8) To pray for students and teach a Bible verse/story as part of each class
